is to provide disadvantaged children with caring, volunteer adult role models to befriend them and spend quality time with them.

Mentors 4 Kids Envisions
a community in which every youth experiences nurturing one-to-one relationships and community support, which in turn allows each of them to develop into their full potential, capable of making informed, responsible decisions as involved members of our community.

National research has shown that positive relationships between youth and their mentors have a direct and measurable impact on children's lives. By participating a mentoring program, youth are:
46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
27% less likely to begin using alcohol
52% less likely to skip school
They are more confident in their schoolwork performance
They are able to get along better with their families
